Today Microsoft unveiled plans for the upcoming December release of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016.

Microsoft continually invests in the CRM roadmap and this time there is a strong focus on even quicker and practical access to information that makes use of connections and different sources of data, as well as emphasis on ease of mobility.

Designed to minimise time spent switching between applications, the new release beings enhanced features such as the ability to analyse data using Excel from within CRM; Delve functionality to present information pro-actively to users; one-click Word and Excel document creation using CRM data; next generation Cortana integration and, crucially, the ability to seamlessly open Office apps such as SharePoint, OneDrive for Business and Office 365 Groups from any CRM record to view contextual documents.

"Every time someone switches back and forth to export data or move between applications, it reduces productivity," said Stephanie Dart, director of product marketing for Microsoft Dynamics. "We want a single, immersive experience for employees that eliminates those distractions."
