Microsoft launches new Surface Laptop

​Microsoft have launched a new Surface laptop that will compete with the Macbook Air

The new laptop will go on sale on 15th June with a starting price of $999 (£770). Microsoft also revealed there is a new edition of Windows 10 which will be aimed at school and designed to run on low-cost computers.

Micrsoft surface boss Panos Panay has stated that the new laptop is lighter than the Macbooc Air and will run the new Windows 10S operating system.
The device has been designed with students about to leave school taken into consideration.

The new Windows 10S promises a more secure virus protection and better battery life – up to 14 hours.
