HomeAway Inc. is the worldwide leader in online holiday property rentals. As an online-focused company, email is critical to how HomeAway does business. For this reason, they decided to move the company’s email from an ageing on-premise Exchange 2003 solution to the cloud.
HomeAway talked to Microsoft, and Microsoft recommended Core. We talked the project through with HomeAway, and advised them how it could be approached, and how we could help.
Core provided consultancy and guidance, ensuring that HomeAway would have the necessary skills to support the system in future. As with any migration, there were some challenges along the way. However, Core provided expertise, information and best practice tips to enable the HomeAway team to meet its deadlines.
An innovative approach of a robust single sign-on, combined with DNS load balancing and traffic-management across servers in the US and EU, is helping HomeAway achieve a near 100 per cent uptime there.
HomeAway came up with the solution, and Core helped them build a successful implementation. HomeAway’s priority was to ensure that the new email solution not only worked, but that his in-house engineers were left feeling comfortable with the technology.
